What I have learned this weekend.......
What I have learned this weekend:
1. Miss Renee is a hoot to spend time with
2. JoAnn's really does shock you when it has 2 floors
3. I adore Archivers
4. Hobby Lobby really does exist
5. You can live on pizza all weekend
6. Lack of sleep does not affect how well you can farm on facebook instead of scrap.
Although we didn't get our challenge done, I would not have changed my weekend for anything in the world.

Little Scraps of Heaven Weekly Freebie and What's New
They just posted a 4th of July file over on Little Scraps of Heaven and I must say it's a MUST HAVE. I can't wait to get it once I get home!! The weekly freebie goes right with it!
Having Issues
Good Morning ladies.
I think I am going to have to take a break from here for a while. I have gotten some difficult news over the past few days. Long story short my son has lead poisioning (and believe my daughter will too) and we have had to leave our home. Kids and I are staying at my aunt's house and my DH has to stay home with our dog. We found this out from a screening at his 2 year apt. Renee, I will follow through for you. I have to just get it together. I just don't know what I will be able to do from here. Kills me especially since I just got my beautiful scrapbook room set up.
So I will be checking in and leaving comments though. If I can participate I will but not being home I am trying to live out of suitcases so I only have the minimal things I need.
So keep up my mojo for when I can come back. :)

Oh oh oh....I have a wonderful idea for a challenge!!
I'm so excited!! I thought of something today listening to what has been posted to this week's challenge. I can't wait to post it.....

New Challenge for week of 6-6
Ok, I got a little nervous about this. I had no idea what to do and had not even thought of this. So on my way to work an idea came to me. How about a little care package we can exchange with each other. Just a little something to let the other know they are thinking of you. Maybe a few things they could use, ie a blank card (I need to get away from the cards, I know! ;)) some embelishments, paper, a cuttlebug folder, a album to alter. In organizing my room I know I have some things I can share, I don't have to buy anything. But I can let my parter have fun with something new.
To make it fair I put our names on a piece of paper and asked my boss randomly pick our teams.
Renee it is you and I and Wendy and Natasha.
Hope this sounds ok. Guess we can have a extra week to get stuff together and mail it out.

Diana.....this is your week
Ok Diana, with that new scrap area it's time for you to issue a challenge!!
Looking forward to it!
Looking forward to it!
Here is what I worked on this weekend......
My girlfriend is getting married in September and somehow I managed to get roped into helping. She insists she is not crafty but has wonderful ideas and knows if she comes to my house, we make her idea happen. Her wedding colors are Black, White and deep deep purple (almost black). They are rather pretty together. These are some of the things we made for her.
The glasses she had seen in Wegman's but they didn't have her initial so she took pics and asked if they could be made.
I finally had an opportunity to kiss cut vinyl. I must say, there is a BIG difference in using Cricut Vinyl and using Wall Pops. The cricut vinyl went on so much easier!!
We also made matching candle holders. These will be partially filled with black fish stones and votive candals go in the centers. She saw this at the Hallmark store and again, another picture for me.
And then she decided that she needed a LARGE candle holder that matched the bride and groom glasses (the only ones with the H's on them)
We also made tags for her memorial flowers
Then we also designed and printed her invitations and response cards. This was an issue because I couldn't get word to work right to keep it all centered and positioned.
And I cut 100 6 x 6 black netting squares for some of the table decorations (still need to do 150 more)
Ok, I think that's what we finished this weekend. I still need to make the card box, find table clothes and a few other odds and ends and she should be ready.
Things I've learned this weekend:
1. Pigment ink is ALOT different than a water based ink
2. To print sideways on your printer use landscape (not that I don't work with word every day at work and have for the last 17 years at work!!)
3. Look through the entire box of invitations BEFORE you start just making your own response cards
4. Run the other direction if your good friend asks if you would mind making a couple small things for their wedding!!

Happy Sunday
Ok, I think I am finally ready to really play. I finally have a area where I can work. My MIL and I worked on Friday and organized my whole area. They were giving away furniature at work because we moved and I got a desk, a rolly cart a 6 ft tall cabinet and 3 tables. I had no area to work before and it was really discouraging. I now have a place to work and maybe skype if I can get that set up, if you guys will allow outsiders. ;) And Wendy I also finally was able to find a place to set up my printer you said I needed :) so I can finally use it. May help me to get some stuff done. But I was working on cards yesterday and did more CFS so figured I would post those so it looks like I have been doing something. I have a few cards to do today and then I want to try and do my tree layout. I did do some cuts and laid it out. Just have to finish it. (just realized when I posted I should have cleaned my desk first, laid out my cards to take a picture of them and a few of the kids toys are out. :) ) Renee I was also organizing my swaps and I found the doll swap we did and organized and put it in a book, remember that? And the one that brought us together, I found the children's stories. Just have to put those in books now. Ok long winded, have a good day.

And this is how I get my scrapping done......
I have lots of encouragement.....but sssshhhhhh, don't tell Renee I posted this pic. She told me not to!
I have 2 computers in my scraproom. One for skype and one with two monitors for everything else. I don't know how people work with only one monitor!! It would drive me insane (short trip I know!)

My Messy Desk
Wendy gave me a copy of this layout... I have used, abused and changed it alot! lol The bear is sitting in a chair. I did not see that until toooo late to use it!
The Tear Bear is my second. Trust me the first one was a lot easier for some reason. I have no clue where his eyes went! I'm laughing... and hunting!!! Maybe have to make a whole new set or give him some of those rolly polly eyes! Well girls that's it... for today... Now let's see what you girls have been up too!
Diana did you ever get your Disney pictures on those pages we made and sent to you? I sure would love to see them.
Natasha now that school is out show me some of the swaps you are working on for the Cricut Message Board.
Wendy lets see all that new stuff you bought at the SUPER Joann's in New England!!!
I guess I could post a picture of my crippled ankle... I has every color of the rainbow too!!! Yes even Green!! ugh!!
Spring is just Ducky!
I just love this paper. The beautiful paper is from the Basic Gray collections. These are not complete as I tend to keep adding to them as I put pics on and remember other things I have to complete the pages. I stickled some of the flowers. The Ribbon is one of my favorites. Unfortunately that is all I have of that particular kind. The light purble base paper I had on hand. I am sure it is Bazzill.. I have enjoyed making these... and when I get my pics on them and a few more bits of bling you will maybe get to see them again. Hope you enjoyed looking... and you may scraplift anything...
Deep Purple layout...
Bottom deep purple paper is paper I had on hand. Probably Bazzil.. the rest of the paper is from the before metioned Basic Gray Lemonade Paper Collection. I have never seen a blue eyed bird so I thought I would make one! The tags, for journaling, are topped with butterflies, a flower and a heart. They were punched with Creative Memory punches. Must have really liked the butterfly punch because there are six on there! Stickles to make them pop. Ribbon is just green! I'm laughing! Wendy has taught me to use ribbon!!! I find myself at least thinking about it now... I am not a ribbon girl! While green is probably not one of my favorite... it sure does match everything. Again these are not finished but you at least get a sneak peek! Title and pics to come later.
Things in progress... not yet finished...
Hello all! Bought this paper at the Scrap Book Expo in Novi Michigan. Basic Gray, Inc Lemonade Collection Pack
The Lemonade Pack came with 18 sheets of double sided paper, one sticker sheet and one alphabet sheet. I have fallen in love with this paper pack.
These layouts are not complete but Wendy wanted to see what I was working on. More to come.
Notice the tags made for journaling... Used a little "fiber" there also!
Challenge #18
Ok ladies, it's been far too quiet with no posting of layouts. Let's get this moving again.....
Challenge #18 - this should be a very easy on. Go get your camera right now and take a pic of exactly what you are working on. Whatever is on your scrapdesk at this moment whether it's working on cards, a swap, or whatever....take a pic of it and share with us.
I look forward to seeing that you really are working on something!
Have a great day
