Having Issues

Good Morning ladies.

I think I am going to have to take a break from here for a while. I have gotten some difficult news over the past few days. Long story short my son has lead poisioning (and believe my daughter will too) and we have had to leave our home. Kids and I are staying at my aunt's house and my DH has to stay home with our dog. We found this out from a screening at his 2 year apt. Renee, I will follow through for you. I have to just get it together. I just don't know what I will be able to do from here. Kills me especially since I just got my beautiful scrapbook room set up.

So I will be checking in and leaving comments though. If I can participate I will but not being home I am trying to live out of suitcases so I only have the minimal things I need.

So keep up my mojo for when I can come back. :)

  2. We rent. It is an old house, but I LOVE where I live. My husband got a lead kit at Home Depot yesterday and if the color came up pink it was positive for lead, it came up bright purple. (he did 3 window sills) My landlord is 94, but her kids own the house. I don't know if they are going to want to make repairs, but it will have to be eventually. The kids cannot go back there until it is fixed. But I don't know if they will now and if we need to find somewhere else to live. The state and town are talking about this. We have to take both kids to lead clinic at St Francis hospital tomorrow to recheck Ryan and check Kenzie. This is so out of our hands. I feel terrible! I don't want to hurt my landlord, she is the sweetest woman. Plus she is my cousin's wife's grandmother. It is just a mess!

The town I live in has a small health dept and an inspector has to come out and then they need to contract out someone that can test for lead. Just seems with the seriousness of it all it is taking a long time. I guess the nurse in the drs ofc said some Doctor with the state is livid this is not going faster. But until then we wait....

    How is everyone else's day going! :) :) :)

  6. We have lived there about 5 years. Ryan had his 18 month apt in the beginning of December and there were no problems. Now for his 2 year this has all exploded.

Bless my landlord's heart she still does not know. DH went home to let our dog out and she asked why I had left so early (she knows my schedule) and why the kids were not there today. (my DH had to fib to her) My heart breaks for when she finds out. She would not hurt a flea and she will be heartbroken to know this has hurt Ryan.

Renee, I have your stuff together, just need to go over to my house and get it. Just don't know when it will be. We are staying at my aunt's house so I feel I have to be there with them so the kids are not breaking stuff. :)

I will keep you guys updated. Just keep me inspired! :)
