Ok...I know everyone except Diana is working on Valentine's Day things so here is my challenge.
1. Create something for Valentine's Day. It could be a card, something altered, a layout, anything...For those of you that must create valentine's for the kiddies, post a pic of just one of the ideas you have come up with.
2. There must be at least 1 cricut cut included.
3. Due date: Since Natasha's (Challenge #4) is due January 31st, that makes this one February 7th.
I'm hoping this challenge will give everyone a deadline that puts them ahead of schedule for getting their valentine's done.
Good luck and happy scrapping!! Added 1/28/10 - ladies please send everyone one of your little creations to everyone in the group. I don't want to see something special for adults either, I want to see the kid version of the valentine!! That's just 4 extra of what you were making!! Is that ok with everyone? I've included Mistie in this one....so Mistie, your little darling needs to hand out valentine's this year!
Diana: You can do Challenge #6 - you up for that?

That flower is gorgeous Wendy! Very pretty layout! How early did you get up! You didn't have that much done when we got off the computer!
ReplyDeleteWell actually I have Valentine's to do, for my mom and Aunt and DH so I am in this one. :) I bought 15 of the Target mailboxes and have not decorated any of them, but I bought stuff from my monthly SU club to do them. So if I can get at least 1 or 2 mailboxes done I will be happy. And actually my cricut cuts area already done because I did those with the intention of doing the mailboxes.
ReplyDeleteSo Challenge #6 is me, huh? Oh boy, the pressure is on now. Think Diana, Think! :)
No pressure... we don't do pressure.. well maybe we do.. we don't do stress!
ReplyDeleteI like that Renee...we don't do pressure but we sure do put alot of stress on ourselves, huh?
ReplyDeleteNo stress!!! Stress will make you lose your memory!! Trust me on this... loose the stress... Back away from stress....
ReplyDeleteHey did I tell you girls that Friday I am leaving town? Taking all of my scrapbook stuff and going scrapping!!! Will be coming back Sunday late!!! YEAH!!! Come on up and go with me!!!
WOOOOOHOOOOO for you!! Where are you going? I would love to go. Let's go everyone, we'll head for Renee's (yup, I googled the directions I can find her!) and go scrap with her!
ReplyDeleteOh my, that edited message wording really stinks. But you all get my idea, right? We've turned the valentine challenge into a swap!
ReplyDeleteCome on up! It's in Fenton Michigan. You would be welcome! If you are serious I'll send you the information .. so e-mail me!
ReplyDeleteSorry ladies I have to bail on Wendy's challenge to me. If I have any time to scrapbook, I really want to work on Griffin's pages. I still haven't finished the challenge layout that all of you so kindly granted me an extension to do! At some point, I would love to join in the fun, but right now, it's just not going to happen. Sorry!
ReplyDeleteNo problem... but please show us what you make when you do get the time to scrapbook!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! Thank you Renee :)
ReplyDeleteThat's ok Mistie. We understand. I know what it is like with kids and working. It's tough! :)
ReplyDeleteSo Wendy, where should we meet so we can met up with Renee? :) I actually have 2 weekends coming up. One is the last weekend of February. Going to Hartford which is 10 minutes away from me. Decided to stay in hotel with other girls, just to get some mommy time for 1 night. And then in March we are going to Cape Cod for the weekend. Friend is a CM consultant and she does a weekend away. we had a great time last year. Right near the beach. Obviously to cold to swim ;) but it was nice for taking walks.
I have worked a lot of OT this week, but I have not forgotten about this weeks challenge or my challenge to do a challenge. :) I plan on doing my challenge this weekend, in the same layout you guys did as only a 1 page layout so I can get started on Challenge 6. I also signed up for Cards for Soliders. I can't wait to do some creating this weekend.
Diana...when I talked to Mistie last night, I told her to get on her way here and on her way past to pick you up. My house is exactly in the middle with all of us. I figured if she left last night the baby wouldn't be stuck in the car for 12 hours straight. We could have slept the night then headed out today to go to Renee's.
ReplyDeleteShe just didn't agree with me!! How RUDE!!
Wendy, you are right, how rude! :)
ReplyDeleteI have a question. Now I am not going to do kiddie Valentine's since mine are still to young. But I don't mind participating to give you gals something. I could send something ok with my package for you guys for the next challenge, k? :)
I also will not be sending my "kiddie" ones, for my DD we just did sour cream containers instead of flat valentines(i'll post a pic) but they will get squished in the mail so I'm doing for you girls the one I'm doing for her teachers.
ReplyDeleteGirls don't worry about my two gds...
ReplyDeleteMadison wants everything to be Spongebob Square Pants and I ABSOLUTELY HATE that character.. Do not let your children watch that if they don't already... They are rude, violent little beings... Example... Madison and I watched a show the other day... and the theme was this meanie character was going to "KICK YOUR BUTT" SPOngebob... So now my 5 year old is walking around saying.. KICK YOUR BUTT...HAHAHA KICK YOUR... then the 2 year old is saying it too... I told her, her sister and there Mom that Spongebob was no longer going to be watched in my home. ...
doing some venting there wasn't I... ******* what was I talking about...
Valentine cards I've an idea!!! And yeah it is "lifted"... lol
Girls come on up!! I'm packing now!! We have another in October!! I'll give you the dates... We have girls from Athens, Ohio that come to that one...
Oh Diana I would love to scrap at the beach!! oooohhhh yeah!
I really didn't want to create any more work for you guys that's why I suggested just doing extra of what you were making!
ReplyDeleteRenee, I agree TOTALLY. There's no spongebob watching in my house either. We've also forbidden superman, batman, spiderman (as Daria says "Yeah Nana, I know...all super hero shows") and all Shrek movies. I think all of the above are NOT kid friendly.
Oh oh...the girls from OH could grab me on the way past!! It would be a quick pop off 80!!
Oh gosh, now I really need to think of something! The pressure is on! Wait, no pressure, just fun, right?!?!?
ReplyDeleteI DO NOT let Kenzie and Ryan watch Spongebob. I have never even watched 1 show, but that is all I hear how bad they are. She knows who he is because grandparents have let them watch it (before daddy and I set the rule of NO spongebob) Now no more. Acutally though, I like Shrek! :) But lately we have been into princess movies and "Bots" (the movie Robots). That is Ryan's favorite right now.
Well Renee, there is still room open for the Cape one. Camon' over. :) We stay in this big old house, sharing rooms. It is in a little village and they have a 'village cafeteria' that is a 5 minute walk from the house where we eat all our meals. It is a great time.
I have my idea in mind for my challenge I am hosting, but did not know if I should post it yet. Figured we could get caught up on the two that are outstanding. (Unless you want to know) :) But I am really excited about it. I already have my layout all done in my head. And I would not have done it if it was not for Wendy making us push ourselves. Thank you Wendy! :)
Renee have a great time! :)
Natasha, thanks for the reminder on the sourcream containers. I have wanted to try those, I guess this is as good a holiday as any! :)
ReplyDeletethey turned out cute... I should be an expert pretty soon I am making some wedding favors for my sisters upcoming wedding in april and planning on making 200 or so of those, might be using vellum but not sure--i havn't worked alot with vellum and I don't know what adhesive to use with that but we'll see.
ReplyDeleteHey girls! I'm in Fenton and I have internet service!!!!
ReplyDeleteWho eats all that sour cream? lol
Yeah we still have contact with Renee. We can live vicariously through her being away scrapping for the weekend. :)
