Challenge #3 was a stretch for me. Wendy sent an envelope with two sheets of polka dot paper, ribbon, a skein of "cross stitch" thread and Rinestones in green and gold. The ribbon had 4 words on it... youthful, sassy, sweet and romantic. The ribbon was white with pink and brown letters... Very interesting... :)
Grandmother's Flower Garden and the grass is Plantin Schoolbook. I used a glitter pen to "lighly cover" the letters. Outlined the letters with a black Creative Memories pen. I knew I was going to do spring flowers... I'm ready for Spring and those are the next pictures I am going to scrap.. if I can get them printed! :( I punched a sheet of "dots" to make my flowers. Used Wild Card for the green stems and altered them. I tried to use the dot paper to matt the pictures. I didn't like the look... I used paper I had on hand. Some of it is Creative Memories. I stamped a couple of the matts with Inkadinkado stamp and Stamps by Judith amethyst ink. (Thanks you Sue D for teaching me how) I use Microsoft Word for my journaling... Here is where I get "creative"... I use the ribbon to "write out" four of the words in my journal spot. I am not satisfied with that but I have learned to just "stop" and do no more... lol... I added three "gems" on the Flower Garden page, top left. I "hand stitched" the mat with the "pine cones" ... I can't remember the name of the stitch but I did remember how to do it after 5 starts on 5 different papers! lol... I can honestly say I do not think I have ever hand sewn paper... Thanks Wendy it was fun!
Pictures, they seem to be a bit fuzzy? Need to check for "tiny" fingerprints maybe :0!
I absolutely love love love what you did with the 4 different items. What a fantastic use of the ribbon and the flowers made out of the paper I sent.
ReplyDeleteI have struggled all week with the items....it has actually taken me all week to do it but....once I glue things down, it will be done and posted tonight.
