Heads Up Ladies

Whimsical Scraps & Bugs, the design team I am on, has been inactive this month and we're not sure why since there has been no communication. I've invited the ladies from the design team that are looking to be challenged to come join us. You may see some unfamiliar faces with us but rest assured, these are some very talented ladies that will bring alot of great ideas for us.

The work on their blogs is just gorgeous!!

  4. some of mine come from myscrapchick.com...I've used coloring book pages for some. I've also googled FREE svg files and gotten some. I have tons of bookmarked sites that have free files. If you sign up for emails at myscrapchick, you get a free file every Friday for download.

  5. OMG, those files re so darn cute! Of course I signed up for the free Friday files. Now I guess I have to get MTC, huh? :) Plus this will force me to get my cricut out more to cut files. ;)

  6. SCAL2 Diana, not MTC!! MTC just doesn't have all the bells and whistles yet that SCAL2 does. And it has not been on the market as long as SCAL.

  7. Oh you are killing me! ;) So is SCAL easier? I thought MTC was easier. And what about importing into inkscape? I need your help on this. I think I am going to start bugging you a lot!

  8. SCAL2 now traces too. The 2 biggest things that did me in on MTC were:

    1. No Shadow/blackout feature unless you resize it yourself and we all know how well that works.

    2. MTC, you have to type in a text box then it places it on your mat whereas SCAL let's you type right on the mat.

    AND.....
    3. SCAL and MTC both trace eliminating the need for inkscape but I still use inkscape. Probably no where near it's full potential but I use it.

  9. soooo... you recommend scal2 over MTC, I almost ordered MTC the other day but I am hoping to get something this weekend, so let me know =]

  10. I definately recommend SCAL and with it being on sale for the same price....I would go with SCAL. You can then use the trial version of MTC for FREEEEEEE and then cut in SCAL....you get both programs for the same price!

  11. ok... i'm sold =] just watched some youtube on both and i think SCAL2 is the way to go... wow now i can't wait =] one question, you may not know but if I get a new computer will i be able to use the disk they send me to put it on my new computer or is it a one shot deal??

  12. I have it on very good authority that you can indeed download it and register it on as many computers as you want. If you have the disk, all the better.

This guy makes files all the time...you have to check his old posts too, there are THOUSANDS!! Many of the border punches everyone searches for, he creates the files and share FREE!!
